It is quite evident that Internet is the dominant media for the 2012 Presidential Election campaigns. The Obama campaign launched a new app that has been devised for organizing and getting voter ID information to iPhone and Android phone users. Following this, the Romney campaign came up with its app, however the latter is just to make an announcement for Romney’s selection of the Vice President.
However, Obama’s campaign feels that this app would provide assistance to all those volunteering for the campaigning.
It would make it easy for them to access the latest news and information. This would in turn help them with the organization drives for voter registration as well as transportation to polling locations where there are possible voters. This app would be making it easy for everyone to connect and engage wherever they are.
Considering the increase in the number of smartphone users since 2008, introducing this app was the next step to garner in more supporters.
