Monday: April Trade Balance data will see light in Japan. Preliminary Nikkei Purchasing Managers’ Index data for May will also see light, as well as March All Industry Activity Index data. Preliminary Markit Purchasing Manufactures Indices will also be released throughout Europe, most of which have analysts optimistic on European Industry. In Russia, April’s Unemployment rate data will see light, as will April’s Retail Sales figures. In the U.S., the preliminary Markit PMI will be released, as will the month’s advance Consumer Confidence data.

Tuesday: The final estimate for Gross Domestic Product in the first quarter will be released in Germany. May ZEW Survey data will also be released in Germany, as will April New Home Sales data in the U.S. The Bank of England’s Carney is scheduled to testify in Parliament.

Wednesday: May IFO Survey data will see light in Germany.  In the U.S., the weekly MBA Mortgage Applications will see light. The Bank of Canada, additionally is scheduled to release a rate decision.

Thursday: In the U.K., the Preliminary (second) GDP estimate for Q1 will see light, currently at 2.1% annual growth. Weekly Initial Jobless Claims data is also scheduled to see light in the U.S., as well as preliminary April Durable Goods Orders data.

Friday: Consumer Price Index data will see light in Japan, currently indicating a 0.4% deflation rate. In France, May Consumer Confidence data will see light, as will April Retail Sales data in Spain. In Italy, May’s Consumer Confidence Index data will see light. In the U.S., the second estimate for GDP in the first quarter will see light, as will the final estimate for the University of Michigan’s Consumer Sentiment Index. Chair Yellen is scheduled to speak at Harvard’s Radcliffe Day.
