I suspect most of you have heard about Volkswagen’s shameful cheating on emissions. (In a nutshell, they deliberately created the software so that the engine only ran clean when it was being tested, but otherwise, it violated emissions requirements). The market isn’t too happy with this, particularly since the threat of an $18 billion fine could be in the offing.
