As of today, Google gives its Google+ users the opportunity to create their own Google+ Pages! Following the footsteps of Facebook, Google+ after almost 5 months of testing has officially released its new service to the public and the first pages have made their appearance.
Business profiles or else Google+ pages havea main difference from Facebook pages.
These pages are based on the same principle that separates Google+ profiles from Facebook profiles – Circles! Users can now add these pages to a number or just one of their circles.
A new Circle made its appearance also, by the name of “Following” specifically designed for following pages.
Things You Can Do.
By creating a new page, you are able to post updates and share photos or videos. You are now also able to find a page, by simply adding the symbol + followed by the name of the page in the search bar. This service is called Direct Connect.
Although it isn’t enabled yet, a statistics service will become part of Google+ pages in the upcoming days, providing data about the user interaction with your page.
