The tornadoes that ravaged the Midwest and South last week, killing many people, left an Indiana woman without her legs.
The 36-year-old mom sacrificed herself to protect her kids from a deadly tornado that crushed their home Friday. Miraculously, mom and her two kids escaped out from the ruins alive.
Stephanie Decker lost one leg above the knee and the other above the ankle but saved the life of her two children by covering them with her body in the basement, according to sources.
Miraculously, her eight-year-old son and five-year-old daughter survived without a scratch thanks to their mom’s sacrifice.
Her husband said that Mrs. Decker is in a stable condition at University Hospital in Louisville. While his wife was not able to speak, she typed on an iPad to explain what happened.
