Monday: Existing Home Sales data for August will be released in the U.S, where the analyst consensus centers around 5.5m new homes. The Fed’s Atlanta president, Lockhart, is also scheduled to speak on the economy, which would be rather interesting, considering the timing.

Tuesday: Advance September Consumer Confidence Index data will be released for the Eurozone. After deteriorating somewhat in recent months. In the U.S., July’s Federal Housing Finance Agency House Price Index will see light, as will September’s Richmond Fed Manufacturing Index.

Wednesday: In China, the preliminary Caixin Purchasing Mangers’ Index will see light, in hope of recovering from its current low level of 47.3. Additional Markit manufacturing purchasing managers’ indices are scheduled to see light globally, most of which, duly noted, are above the pivotal 50 point mark. The U.S. will also see the release of the weekly MBA Mortgage Applications.

Thursday: The Preliminary September Nikkei Manufacturing PMI will see light in Japan, as will July’s All Industry Activity Index. In France, September’s Manufacturing Confidence Index will see light. September’s IFO Index will be released in Germany. In the U.S., the weekly Initial Jobless Claims will see light, as will the Chicago Fed’s National Activity Index and August’s Durable Goods Orders and New Home Sales data.

Friday: Consumer Price Index data for August will be released in Japan, with the analyst consensus seeing annual inflation moderate even further, from 0.2% to 0.1%. August M3 Money Supply data will be released for the Eurozone, which analysts expect will keep steady at its healthy 5.3% annual rate of increase. In the U.S., the third estimate for the second quarter’s Gross Domestic Product will see light, bringing its impressive 3.7% gain back into awareness. The final print for September’s University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index will also see light in the U.S. Additionally, Governor Yellen is scheduled to speak at the University of Massachusetts.
