There’s probably not a lot of value in this post, since it’s primarily just me bitching, but here goes: in each of the past two days, I’ve had positions stopped out at a loss due to an earnings report that was interpreted positively (at first), only to be followed by the stock IMMEDIATELY selling off. This is one from this morning:

And, more painful, one from yesterday which ripped hugely higher and then collapsed henceforth:

I know there are suggestions to be had (“don’t use stops”, “use wider stops”, etc.) but – again- I’m just venting. The protection of having stop-loss orders can come with crap like this on occasion. The irony, of course, is that the charts are still really bearish.
